Hey MDG, Sorry not to hijack the thread but to digress only for a minute, im not sure if you remeber me asking you about a T-Bred in MD, you said you had never seen theboat or kne about it. Anyway i was just sent the paper work for it and the reciepts, I saw one that was from you and that you had put the Stainless marine exhaust, risers elbows and corsa mufflers on it and also installed the trim tabs and indicaters im not sure if any of that helps you on remebring it- sorry agan for the bother

Everything looks good,14qt pan clears, outdrive mounted as low as possible(bottom bolts close to notch)but this puts prop shaft 1 bellow bottom, might need spacers.
What diameter props will a Konrad swing? Do you have a prop in mind? I know that the new hull is supposed to need less bow lift for the drive/prop, but 1" below seems real high. Superboat has set the prop shaft 3-4" below in the past and guys seem to have good luck going even lower to 5" below. Mike rerigged the Zuperboat to 1" below when he installed a #4 speedy but that thing swings an 18" wheel. Have you thought about going back to a standard length drive vs. the shorty? Your new ride is going to be one mean machine for sure... |
Need to also take into account that the konrad ace comes with a setback box. So you can go a bit higher than the bravo setup

Thanks MGD more then happy to ill get that over to you tomorrow the guys name was William (Bill i guess everone called him) Moldoch. He bought the boat brand new in 93 and i believe from the reciepe had you sell and install the items in 98. Thanks again

HEY pat,the prop shaft is actually 2 bellow bottom, the konrad is on a 8 box so i figure it will be a good starting point, konrad makes spacers so no big deal if too high, can always shim down, hard to shim up.I just got in apair of 6-blade herrings for a customer, maybe with the high x the 6 blade might be the hot ticket, going to give one a try.A lot of new props out there this year, going to be intersesting to see what works best on this new y2k bottom design.

X sounds good to me ! 2 below plus a box = 3 below. Thats where mine ran the best with the bravo and a box. Only running bravo 4 blades. New prop technoligy and more blades will be a deffinate plus. New bottom will be hard to compare notes because of the conrad. Cant be as fast as a bravo.
