I replaced mine with an automatic retractible light - never have to worry about stabbing a pole light, and RA doesn't worry about sliding off the back at dusk!! Consider it - its pretty cool......

I have been looking for a retractable stern light but have not been able to locate one. Where did you buy it and how much?

Not sure if this is the one I purchased two years ago, but do a simple google to find others:

A tight fit back there with the tab motor, but I love mine...

That is one nice retractable light - Looks as though you must have room directly below it when it is in the down position gotta check it out

Trick Marine has motorized stern lights advertised in the classified section. They require 22" of below deck clearance, and are about $150.00

JC is going to ***** when I show-up at the shop with a box containing a Power Stearn Light... I can hear him already... (Wha-da-ya need that f'in thing for).... But he is getting used to me, he told me the other night that everytime he starts something on the boat that he immediatly thinks- Whats H2oscene going to have to say about this... but sometimes he reverts back to old school practicality...and im not practical... oh well... thats what make it all interesting...

You had better go lend a hand...

Honestly, I have been watching these builds here on OSO ever since FX-10 started posting.
Your boat has gone together faster than any other, without question...
I don't know what you guys have been feeding JC lately but by the looks of things he working like he's 20 years younger...

He even sounded like he was in a good mood when I called him the other day about an issue on my boat. Normally, he's seems pretty grumpy when I get him on the horn...
