The cruise speeds are vary similar. Maybe 100-150rpm more at 50mph with the 5 blade. Remember the 5 blade is a 25p and my 4 blade is around 27p though.
The 5 blade really shines in the rough. The boat does definately run more stable at high speed in the rough.

Not necessarily true.
Some of the guys that have run them on 30' Supers have reported the same or even faster top speeds vs. a 4 blade.

Pat, sent you PM. I'm considering Whipple options so I would have to re-prop, but I'm still interested. With my buddy's 26PX5 I saw increases across the entire range - + 5 mph mids, +3mph top end and more stability.

The P5X does seem to be the best prop for your hull Keith.
I do know that on OH-Zone's boat the top speeds are about the same with a P5X vs. a B1 and cruise is better with the 5 blade as well.
On my 24' the P5X is only better for rough water handling. I will probably not spend the $$ on this prop as I do have other items on my boat requiring attention/$$ right now.

Thanks for all your help and input Pat. I'll keep looking for a PX5-25 LH until I make any other changes.

No problem Keith. Keep me in mind if you find a killer deal on a pair.
The timing is just a little off for me to buy this prop. I was ready to pull the trigger a month ago, but.
Just got other items on the boat to spend $$ on right now...
