flash32118 ????

I saw a post from flash32118 in another thread. His comment says 24 Superboat 750 H.P.

I'd like to hear the scoop on this boat. I couldn't imagine having 750 HP in my boat!

There is an older 24' out on LI that has a JC Perf engine, short drive, and 6 blade H prop that reportedly runs over 100mph...
Could this be the boat?
Zup knows the scoop with the one on LI.

Dave M 04-23-2007 11:50 AM

His profile says somewhere in FLA.

Step or straight bottom 750hp is a LOT of power for the 24! You guys have any knowledge of how the 24 reacts to a shorty?

Racegirl3 04-23-2007 12:19 PM

Flash is JCs brother (hope he doesnt mind me tellin that) :D

Superboat John (JC) or
JC Performance Jeff?

Either would make sense...

Racegirl3 04-23-2007 01:43 PM

750 is an insane amount of power for a 24' for sure.

I believe that the prop shaft depth on our boats from the factory is right on the money for 3 and 4 blade props.
It is too low for a 5 blade or 6 blade though.
I ran Gary H's 5 blade and had to trim real high to get the boat to run fast. T-Mone runs a P5-X on his Pantera and does loose speed from having to trim real high. The 5 blade is the ticket in the rough for sure.
My guess is that with a shorty and a 5 blade Hydro P5-X on the our boats would run real fast and handle awesome...:evilb:

Do you think there is any repercussions drive wise when trying to push a 5 blade prop with an older stock bravo when already pushing around 500hp and 500 lbs/tq? I am thinking the 24's might be light enough that it wouldn't be a problem but I would be a little nervous. Pat does T-Mone any beefed up drive internals?

T-Mone ran 575-600HP thru a stock Bravo 1 for 3 years without a problem. He drives/runs as hard as anyone I have ever seen. This year T is upgrading his drive though.
I don't think a 5 blade vs. 4 blade vs. 3 blade is going to make that much of a difference.

The 24 that Flash has was his brother's boat. Not JC Perf. The other brother Chippin It here on the board. There is another 24 Superboat that you guys have asked about that runs over 100 as well. That boat is owned by the Owner of Activator Boats. Both of these 24's have big power built by JC Performance. I am sure that Flash will respond to this thread once he sees it and show or tell you guys about his. He is currently in the proccess of tweaking it out.......
So now all you players need to step it up and put some power in your little 24's.. Who wants to be the first to man up???

PAt
A new 850 JC Performance blower motor is in your future? I would sell you my Imco shorty if you want to go that route.

FX10 04-24-2007 06:26 PM

Yeah, Gino from Activator also owns a 24 that goes over 100.

There will be no 850HP engine going into my boat anytime soon...
An Imco shorty and 5 blade is a lot more likely. I'll be sticking with my 502MagMPI for at least one more year.
This past weekend I fueled up, changed the cap, rotor, and fuel filter. Then I turned the key and the engine did not turn over more than 3 revs before firing up and idling at 600rpm.
I do have the heads, cam, and AZ Speed intake to convert it to a 500EFI when time permits.
For Now, stock is good...:D
See you out at Claudio's Titan...:drink:

Never mind hearing the scoop on the boat. You should HEAR this beast. But like the saying goes Bad A$$ toys for Bad A$$ Boys

flash32118 05-01-2007 08:13 AM

Big beans in these boats are possible...if you can drive it through the chine walk....im running a stock 1.36 upper and a labbed 24 bravo one....this thing makes closer to 800 and as you can guess is a riot to drive.A shorty would help this thing!

We need to hear more.
What year is the boat?
Have you cracked 100mph?
Do you have any pictures to share?

Dave M 05-01-2007 11:34 AM

Do you have FULL steering? I noticed a big diff. as far as chine walking after I completed my system.

flash32118 05-02-2007 06:59 AM

I have cable over hydraulic steering, just need the helm at this point...this boat is a 76 and my brother Curtis has ran this thing up to 6600 rpm....so its possibly over 100 right now...Pics coming
