Default flash32118 ????

I saw a post from flash32118 in another thread. His comment says 24 Superboat 750 H.P.

I'd like to hear the scoop on this boat. I couldn't imagine having 750 HP in my boat!

There is an older 24' out on LI that has a JC Perf engine, short drive, and 6 blade H prop that reportedly runs over 100mph...
Could this be the boat?
Zup knows the scoop with the one on LI.

Step or straight bottom 750hp is a LOT of power for the 24! You guys have any knowledge of how the 24 reacts to a shorty?

Superboat John (JC) or
JC Performance Jeff?

Either would make sense...

750 is an insane amount of power for a 24' for sure.

I believe that the prop shaft depth on our boats from the factory is right on the money for 3 and 4 blade props.
It is too low for a 5 blade or 6 blade though.
I ran Gary H's 5 blade and had to trim real high to get the boat to run fast. T-Mone runs a P5-X on his Pantera and does loose speed from having to trim real high. The 5 blade is the ticket in the rough for sure.
My guess is that with a shorty and a 5 blade Hydro P5-X on the our boats would run real fast and handle awesome...

Do you think there is any repercussions drive wise when trying to push a 5 blade prop with an older stock bravo when already pushing around 500hp and 500 lbs/tq? I am thinking the 24's might be light enough that it wouldn't be a problem but I would be a little nervous. Pat does T-Mone any beefed up drive internals?

T-Mone ran 575-600HP thru a stock Bravo 1 for 3 years without a problem. He drives/runs as hard as anyone I have ever seen. This year T is upgrading his drive though.
I don't think a 5 blade vs. 4 blade vs. 3 blade is going to make that much of a difference.
