Congrats! Awesome to have another 24 owner around. Seriously though, really wake that boat up and for 425-500hp. That is when the real fun begins! What are some of the ideas for your boat?

Hi Kevin,
Welcome to the 24' Super club...
I'm vary excited to see Rick build a 24'. Is seems only 30s have been rolling out for the past few years.
I've owned 24 Super for 5 years now and I love it!!!
The 496Mag is a great engine package. It makes just as much power as the old 502mag I have in my boat. Yes, your boat should crack 75mph. There is always time to give it a little more kick down the road...
As for options, it's all about how much you are willing to spend...
Two options I would suggest are a full hydraulic helm with external steering rams and solid engine mounts. Do not just use the Merc internal power steering or the Merc adjustable engine mounts. The external ram steering makes these boat a pleasure to drive at high speed. The solid engine mounts will keep the engine aligned if you run hard in the rough.
If you have questions, fire away. I've gotten lots of help from the crew on this sight...
Good Luck with your new Toy!

Kevin great first boat . Enjoy the build. If your 6ft or over the bolsters mite be alittle low. Im 6ft and didnt like standing in them. What about buckets. Rick is making some new ones and the mold looks real good. I hope you get it when promised. John better hire some help. Lets just clone Rick

I'm short, 5'7", and I've always liked the option of standing, so the standard seats have worked well for me. However, after running with T-Mone the past couple of years, I'm seriously considering going to buckets. You do have more control when sitting. The bucket seats will have to have lots of cushion for the rough though. Let's see what you fellows come up with.
