Default Need some help, Superboat 24

Hey All I am new here. I am going to look at a 1977 Superboat 24. I do not know much about Superboats construction and I am wondering if there anything I should look for? She has a 454 with a TRS drive.

I have always had a smaller lake type boat and am moving up to a deep vee hull. I want a classic look (why I want a Superboat or Pantera) with a nice ride and a 24 is about the biggest I could float on my dock.

Any help would be great, thanks to all in advance!

I don't know much about the older Superboats, but I know the construction of mine is very good. It's for sale in the classifieds if you wanna look at it. You could take it back home to Lake George where she came from!

I couldn't tell you what to look for on an older one, and the newer ones like mine don't seem to have any weak areas except the cabin door material. Good luck!!

Ok spoke with the owner of this 24, haven't seen it yet. He states that the tranny cooler is shot and needs replacing, I am not familiar with the TRS drive so I was looking for info for this and cannot find any. Anyone know if this is an easy part to purchase and replace. he also states the interior is in need of replacement.

No, not easy.
The transom will have to be glassed up.
Cut a new hole for the Bravo.
Relocate the engine.
It is common though...

If the boat is not a great deal, look for a newer Bravo boat or an outboard...
