I remember when that Y2K was the picture display boat at the Superboat Web Site. What a beautiful Y2K, good luck with the sale Cary.

Real nice boat, but for 90K you can buy a new one with a blue motor.

Ok im guessing it goes 82-84, I dont remember that boat leaving the factory with an XR and ITS. I do remember the winter ride pictures ! Still love black. Some of you really like those blue motors dont you. I know one guy that has a 38 formula that goes through at least 2 motors a year. His engine builder does car engines !! LOL He wont listen, says it was this or that. At least he can get back and forth to the boat to clean it while the motors out again !!

I'd say you are about right on the top speed.
I am not a huge fan of the blue engines as I think they are over priced compared to custom power; just making a comparison Zup.
I also think that the 496/8.1 engines should be left naturally aspirated because they have a cast crank and cast pistons.
Like I say earlier, the boat does look real nice. Way out of my league at 90K though.

.
Pricey, perhaps a little more, but with a world wide network of dealers and repair service, well worth it !!!!

I ran into Cary a number of times this summer in the river. I have to say this is one clean boat and runs very well. He claimed it would run 84.

He has it set up very nice.

the biggest problem with custom power is re-sale. if you were to take all the current boats for sale, pull the custom power from them and replace with stock merc power be it black or blue...watch how fast they would sell or atleast get more activity...
