One other thing you may want to ask Crockett about. I've heard there is a flaw in the fuel rail that can cause #7 to lean out. I know my 1997 has this flaw, but it was corrected around the time your 2000 was built.

It is an MEFI 3 with stock injectors. The injectors have all been flowed and cleaned. We didn't get fuel pressure numbers on the run as he was just getting EGT & A/F ratio for Crockett. Apparently the unit on the dyno that reads fuel pressure is broken on the right now. It must be a POS cause it's broken on Crockett's too. Crockett is going to look back through the program for us and see if there is any computer reason for the lean out up top. If not, then we can reasonably believe the fuel system is to blame, and we'll add the new fuel system to be covered. Once we get it back, we're going to run with a mechanical gauge installed to know just what's happening.

Doesn't that have around 600HP? I'm not goin that big! My little 500+ will be just fine. I'll definitely surprise a few people. There are too many cocky Baja drivers on Grand that could stand to be taken down a peg or 2:D

Nope just a TAD under 500hp....499hp on the dyno:D Spins up to around 5600-5700. Trust me you will be able to surprise a LOT of people.

I think you might want to hunt down a 25p Rev 4, a 26p B1, or a 25p P5-X prop to test with. I'm quite sure that you don't want to run a 3 blade on a step bottom 24' at 80+mph.

I've already talked to Brett about doing some prop testing. He has a pretty good program for that. He has my prop right now as I put a pretty good ding in it last time out. For some reason I thought my boat was "shallow draft" and tried to put it in a slip it didn't belong in.:rolleyes:

Maybe I'll have him send a 24 P Rev 4 with the my prop and see how that goes.

You better keep yours the way it is Pat. Your family will be upset if she doesn't run in the spring!:D

Oh, and right now I have to say that I'm not sure T.C. is taking care of my needs computer-wise. He doesn't want to take the time to talk to me or my engine guy to go over what is happening to make sure we get it right. He supposedly has sent the computer back for us to have today. I'm worried though that he wouldn't take the time to talk to us to make sure this thing is right. I just have a bad feeling that it is going to be wrong again. If it is, he's going to get an earful. I've only spent about a grand with him, so maybe I'm not as important as someone who buys his whole kit, or does the entire engine with him? I don't know. I'm just getting a bad "I'm too busy to deal with you" vibe and I'm not crazy about it.

If I'm smart I'll leave the 502 that is in my boat alone until it starts to make problems. I have a 454 in my basement to play with but it would sure be easier to just swap the valve train parts in the 502...
I have only heard good things about TC. My personal experience is only buying a few parts and asking for advice. He has never put me off like you...

Spoke too soon on this post. I'll reserve judgment for a little bit. The computer came in the shop just now. Brad's going to spin it up on the dyno and let me know what's going on.

Glad Crockett didnt use his knife and cut the cpu like he did the t shirt I sent him :rolleyes:

4 blader is a must. Good Luck with 2nd pull!
