I do know from personal experience (28' Cig) that working on a twin engine boat with tight quarters is not much fun. From the looks of the twin 6.2L Y2K, it is real tight.
I really think the boat that we rapped about with Huntington Rob a couple of years ago, would be a nice reliable 100mph package.
Twin 500HP aluminum head, maybe aluminum block, small blocks mounted in a short stagger. Merc Bravo XR drives with short lowers on ITS boxes.

383cube engines would need superchargers. To make 500HP NA in a marine friendly small block you need 427 to 454 cubes...

900-1,500hp EFI (93 octane) and 100+ pounds lighter!
Superbabi...
I've got a single engine combo long block assembly ready to be completed. We've got a pair of 1,500 (pump gas) - 2,200hp "methanol" combo motors being finished rigged for running in a carbon fiber cat. We're more than 100+pounds lighter than any B/B builder and can give you a motor combo that the #6 Merc's can more than handle. How 'bout a detuned EFI combo that produces 900+hp @ 3,500rpm's...and whatever you want to achieve...YOU CAN!
