The last owner stored it inside a metal shed.

Pat,

That boat is the sister ship to my old '96 26 You'll love it.

BTW, with the 502/415 motor you should have no problems running in the low 70's, mid 70's on a good day. My old 26 ran a solid 85 with a massaged 454 / 540 in it spinning a 26P Lab Bravo 1 @ 5600 rpm. If you don't see those numbers then check the hull for hook. I've seen some of the 280's with a little hook and that can cut 5 mph off your top end. With those K planes you can get away with a perfectly flat rear section or even a little rocker.

That is a great looking boat Pat. There are a lot of Velocity's on the river and they run very well. Fast boats....
