JOJO, you could not make a better choice than the Y2K, the best single 30 plus on the market. Rick at Superboat will be the best to point out all the gains with the new bottom and the 496 HO.

Jo,Jo the 2008 y2k with the 496HO package would probably run around 73-75mph my guess,I have a merc 500efi that we rebuilt(in classified) and also bravo xr its 1.5 low hours that would make a great package in a new y2k.probably in the same budget as the 496HO.Would make a great package for putting a boat together with limited budget,i would guess 80mph top end,1 year warranty and a very reliable powertrain. We have some merc 500efi motors around that have over 500hrs and still running strong, one of the best motors merc has ever built, the 496 is a great package but you will probably get bored in a short peroid of time and wished you had opt for the bigger engine, either way can't go wrong with the y2k.
