Boating 37 you need to come up to md and take a ride in my y2k,hopefully in some nice rough water,go up to Li and take a ride in an activator, compare style, ride, speed, comfort, price. Then you the buyer, can make your final decision. The best advice i can give.

Dave I started looking at Y2K because of your boat, have to say I love it, great looking boat, and would have come up tp MD but the weather changed and got cold up north. Now today it was 82 here in florida..We will see just looking at all me options.and like both boats, it come down to the best deal I can get.

Sure thing.
Mike at Ocean performance called me while I was trying to feed my kids so I have not gotten the whole scoop.

they are comparable. the activator is not 30', but 27 or 28 with a platform. both deep vee's. both are fast. i'd give the speed edge to the act, but the rough water capabilities to the super.
i have riged or reriged a dozen or so of each. both inboard and outboard.
for the super i might sway away from say a twin 300x set up, a lil squirly same for the act.
if you have the money for big power (750+ h.p ) either way you ll have a rocket.

Bo,
That was the old bottom. And that was in the Speedboat mag issue. The Activator was 2.4 mph faster then Garys Y2K. But then theirs had a shorty speedmaster and a Herring prop. Ours was stock!! Today, my "NEW" Y2K would swoop a 29 Activator. The new hull is running between 3-5 MPH faster then the old hull. Our new hull is running 82 MPH out of the box with a 525. And if you have the $ to play with props. 84 is there too.
