k-wells had thin, crappy starboard doors

the windshield is a nice piece, polished edges, cnc cut, etc.

just be sure to mock it up on the boat, mark it, and black out the bottom so you dont see the fairing behind it.

My cabin doors look like they are made out of cutting board material. A buddy of mine said to leave them alone cause he had a place to cut limes up for the drinks! They are warped and clanky. I tried to have a new set made from aluminum, but they were going to be way too heavy! My next plan was to have some made from thicker lexan and have the front edge of the top panel fold over to hold the doors from moving around. It sounds like K-Wells got to it before me. if his are nice, I'd love to get a set.

Rick, what are you installing at the factory now? Are the doors different than what I currently have? I have already purchased latches. They are the same ones that Superboat is currently using. I also picked up a gas strut for the lid. I'm hardware ready, I just haven't gotten any doors yet.

Plexi, clean and could hold weight.

My 24 had the same cheap doors and hatch.
I followed Superbash's lead and remade the hatch with 3/4" and it worked out well. I had planned to replace the doors this off-season, but, well...:party-smiley-004:

It would seem that Superboat had gotten a little cheap as far as these type of details in the mid 90s. The older boats had a nicer setup...:rolleyes:

IMO I agree Pat its one area that could use improvement.
2002- Doors were twisted Starboard.
1989 had plexi doors- Straight in comparison and looked better.

i am taking My cabin doors off altogether and having a local canvas guy make me a Canvas door and a screen door that snaps in place....No more rattles and on the occasion that we wanna crash in the cabin the screen is great for some ventilation and NO BUGS...plus there alot lighter....

i like the windscreen but want something removeable....i like what i saw on i think it was the Zuperboat...small windflaps that are removeable....

Kwells has chosen the best on long island to do all the work on his boat....Raybo for paint and misc mods, Eastcoast for rigging and most other work, and from what i hear the interior is going to be incredible...

very nice!!! that's exactly what i would step up to out of my donzi classici my be i am a little biased :p but that boat has great classic lines and graphics or wild paint jobs would just get in the way again very nice I love it:D

Yep. I can stand on the hatch, and the only complaint I have on the doors, is that there's no snap or catch to keep them open. Although a couple straps and snaps can fix that. ;)
