what ?? those words of wisdom came from my mouth? I must be getting older and wiser...
...that's probably why I'm going to Greenland with floating ice...wait...:( |
Rick, what would it take to stretch the 34 to a 42' Superboat?
I am kind pusshing the envelope on the 34's capabilities. I am asking JC for 400 gallons of cruising capacity. :cool-smiley-011: |

no no, I don't have deep pockets. I'm actually over my head with the 34. Just forcing it...giving up other things. I actually had an order for the 30Y2K but it didn't hold enough gas for my trips.
I was just curious what it would take to stretch the 34. Pockets are empty now. I eat fortune cookies for breakfast and dinner. I skip lunch :) |
Noli, all the foam coring is on the forward deck. Today I'll have it sanded and ready for glass. Finishing the sides of the deck today also.
|
sounds great. it looks like you guys are moving right along. No pressure but whenever you can get us some pics, that would be great :D
I appreciate all of your efforts in keeping us updated. |
I get my camera back this weekend (hopefully). So I'll have pics up next week.
|
Noli, sprayed your hull up yesturday. All glass work is done on the deck. All I have to do on it, is glass all the wires in.
|
noli. are you getting all Amped up !!!!!!
|
yes I am. It's exciting to hear about the build. but nothing excites me more than seeing pics of it though(hint Rick)...:grinser010:
|
Noli, we skinned out the hull yesturday. Layup wil begin today.
Sorry for the lack of pictures. I'm definately gettiing the camera back this weekend. |
Wow Rick, that is one big hull. Who were the other guys there? I've never seen them before. Do they come in only for the big layups?
|
Those are Coens grandsons. They've worked there before.
|
So how did the layup go? Any curve balls thrown at you?:D
|
I stopped down yesterday to check it out . That boat has to twice the build of a Y2K. Rick had the shop jumping. Looks Goood !!
|
yes it looked great. There were about 6 or 7 guys doing the layup. And according to Rick, it has to be done in 1 continuous layup...no stopping overnight then continue in the morning. There is so much to know about boat building!!!
|
Noli, the other side is laid up. Looks awesome..
|
Come on Rick Like we would expect anything but perfection !!
|
Noli, that was one huge layup. A half a drum+ of resin per side. I need a few days to rest afer that,
I wish I could rest. I'm going in now to finish the hull on my FX10 Supervader. That will be done next week, and be for sale. |
what is a supervader?
Please send us pics. :cool-smiley-011: |
Compared to your 34 its lile a lift raft !!
|
You know its funny that you should say that. I am just as happy in a 21 Super as I am in a 34 super. They're all fun. Being on the water is what I long for. How many more weeks till boating season??

Please send us pics. :cool-smiley-011: It's basically a 10' GW Invader. Except I modified the bottom by changing the pad and adding inverted chines. Doing that resulted in a 5 MPH speed gain over the origiinal. Boat does 40 with a 25HP on it. My buddy has the first one with a 70 Merc on it. This Yellow and black one is for sale for 3k. Anybody want one, let me know. I need to sell 3 quick. http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...28Large291.jpg http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...28Large291.jpg http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...28Large291.jpg http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...28Large291.jpg |
Rick, your FX-10 boats are really nice looking rides. I bet there gonna sell quick !!!!
|
I hope so.
|
Wow, these are nice boats. They would run great in Barnegat Bay. Lots of luck in your new business. What's the name of your new company? Do you have a web site yet?
I am going to let my brother know in FL about your creations! |
Noli, it's not a new business. I've had these molds for some time.

Is that where the "FX-10" comes from? Is this the model name of your boat? I would go all out on this if I were you. First a 12 footer then a 21 footer then a 27 called the FX-27!!!
You probably need investors right about now. :cool-smiley-011: |
