Yes, I put the order in for a 34 full deck, not CC.
It will be setup for twin outboards...unfinished cabin for weight savings and less $$$. All white. I may not put in the outboards untill next year. The Verado 350 SCI will be out in October. Very excited. This will be my 2nd Superboat if all goes well. I am going with Verados because I have children that I don't want to subject noise to. If I had no kids, I would go 300XS's. The only reason I am going with 34 and not 30Y2K is the gas tank capacities. I plan to go Island hopping in the Bahamas next year. 50 miles from Miami to Bimini. 148 miles from Bimini to Nassau. Nassau to Barbados. I prefer twins because of the waters I'll be going to. previous Super: 24' w/225 2.5 EFI Major equipment on the 34': twin Verado 350 SCI Raymarine E120 Chart Plotter DTS groupe Smartcraft groupe EZ Loader Bunk Sorry for the information overload :) |

I definitely will not be competing against the Y2Ks, the 34 is not in the 100MPH club. Jc's estimate is 80 @WOT.
And with Verado 300's 75@WOT. |

I can get a 300XS for 16K per motor. 3 of those is 48K same cost as (2) 350SCI. This would make the 34 run a lot faster because the XS's weighs in at 505lbs each with a total of 900HP at the props. I don't know what those speeds would be.

I knew that !!! noli when is Superboat gonna start yor build. How fast do you think with the pair of 350's ???
|
Thats a big boat to build !! Not like a Y2K. Wide and deap lots of glass !! Lots of man hours.
|
Do you know the Verado 350's will not be out till Oct.
|
yes, that's why if I get ancy this summer, I might drop down to Verado 300's...which has 6 years of warranty. A win-win situation.

Great news! Sounds like a great build... Any chance that JC upgrades the steps in the mold similar to the current Y2K? THat would be a great update for that model line dont you think? |
it would be nice but then that would delay my plans. I need the 34 built ASAP because I have a small window when I can take this trip that I am planning. That window is only 4 weeks long then the snow comes and then I would have to delay the trip till next year when I have that small window of opportunity again.
I am planning on taking the 34 on a long journey. From NJ to Maine to Newfoundland then to Greenland. From Greenland to Iceland. From Iceland to Faroe Islands then to Ireland and Portugal. Then to Spain and thru to Mediteranean Sea and beyond... No this is not a joke, this is a serious trip that I am planning. Non of my family members will be invited, just buddies. |

It's just all plans right now. But the 34 is being built for that trip. JC will build it with 350+ gallons. The cabin will not have a liner for weight savings. I will try to have redundant electronics like two Icoms, two Chart plotters...defintely twin engines. The Verado 300 is more likely at this point since the Verado 350 needs 91 octane all the time. The Verado 300 will run at 87 if needed. The engines theoretically will consume about 2 miles per gallon giving me a 600 mile range.
This will truly be for Offshore Only folks... |

Is it true??? another 34 is on someone's wish list?? I love Superboat because it truly is custom made. Need to go to far off places build it for long range cruising, want to join the 100mph club, build it yet a different way...nice
I think that for the 34 to go 100MPH you'd need twin Mercruiser sci's with dry sump #6 drives. ...or blown Zul engines |
Noli,
The molds are in the shop and being cleaned and waxed up for spraying. |
Are the rumors true, we have another 34 on the way?
|
Hey Rick, do you think you will be at the shop on Monday??? If so I'll stop by in the afternoon to see the 34 mold
|
John. I won't be there Momday. I have to take care of something.
|
Rick, the 34 deck is really something... I cant believe the size of it... You should post a few pictures during this build its definatly worthy...
|
How BIG is it? :angry-smiley-038:
|
Noli, I opoligize. My camara is at Kates ( Juniour Prom and prom dress pictures have priority). The initial layup on your deck is done. Today, we got most of the coring done on the front deck. Damn!!! That deck is HUGE!!!! Took all day. As soon as I can, I will post some pictures.
|
wow. good to hear. I'm glad. I can't wait to see just how BIG this thang' is :)
|
but you know what, no matter how big this 34 is, we're all just twigs in the vast ocean...
