There is a guy on S&F that is selling 3 250xs for like 20k..buy those send all 3 to STR have him does his work ...then mount 2 and you will always have one spare just in case.

Just do it before fuel gets to $8 a gal...if not your going to need to start looking into carbon fiber....for the mast you will need to put on that thing to sail around LI.

Noli the only flaw in your 5 year plan is that you aint gonna keep the boat more than a year or two....just like the rest of us around here....and hell with your track record thats being generous lol......

If i were you i would also think about resale....the market for a 34 with highly modified powerheads is slim to none...now the market for a 34 with STOCK tripples is a little broader and then the market for a 34 with twin 300xs is alot broader....the average guy can buy, run and maintain the thing....my .02 on that....

Noli I think I suffer from the same thing , I'm the happiest when i'm working on something or when it's under construction . The idea of completion will feel like your job is done and you need to move on .
I've never been a fan of your idea of outboards on a big go fast boat to begin with but in the end it's your build and if you wanna stick a couple of 50's on the back of it you should be able to without people giving you $hit ......

As for your need to keep something under construction , just send me you address and I'll send you a couple of my projects to keep you busy and feel needed ! LOL !
