Setup is an 12" Stainless Marine bracket and 27" yamaha prop. Don't know the height off hand, but the Vmax motors have a slightly shorter lower unit than regular lowers

ndaniels is right, it's the Big Chute marine railway. Big carrier with a complex, multi configurable set of straps and hydraulic rams under the floor that rise up and stabilize all the boat hulls. Lifts you about 60ft up and over a road. Designed to keep invasive marine species from being transferred from one ecosystem to another.
It's one of 45 locks and lifts in a 250 mile long inland waterway of lakes, rivers and canals.

Since Noli had some gauges and the VesselView monitor in the dash, and I'm going with a different set up, I had all the cut-outs filled in, re-gelled and refinished so that I can have a clean 'canvas' to work with.

I took my boat to Tuff Marine in southern Ontario (www.tuffmarine.com) to have this done. Mark Weigl is the owner of Tuff, who is an ex offshore racer turned performance boat builder. What's remarkable, and unusual, is that his wife was his racing partner (Mark on throttles, Dana at the wheel), and the duo in their various Skaters won many an APBA championship and other accolades in the late 80's and early 90's. Mark is meticulous in the construction of his boats. The attention to detail and flawless fit & finish are the first thing you'll notice when you see a Tuff.

It's kind of sad that it looks so nice, because I'm just going to end up cutting new holes in it anyway!!! I didn't get a chance to work any further on removing the tank this weekend, and won't for a while because I'm going on vacation for a couple of weeks starting next weekend (Halloween in Lahaina baby!!)

BTW, I went 77.2 MPH in my 24' yesterday. Not bad for a bone stock 300 HPDI I say :-)

Looks like he did a great job.. I've kicked around filling one hole on my 24s dash that I wish I wouldn't have done.

I'm afraid that if I can't find a nearby, indoor, heated storage place for the winter that's affordable, I won't have much progress or pics to update on. I'm trying to find a place that I can putter about on it, do rigging and such after work or on weekends.
If not, then it will have to get stored away for the winter, not to be seen again until spring. Sniffle :-(
