Outboard Y2K????

A guy in Freeport has one. We added another fuel tank and did some work to it just before Christmas.
I believe his has 280's on it,and does in the mid to upper 90's.

And yes, it has a gas pedal.

Wow the 30Y2K outboard is very impressive lookin' indeed.
Do you think she'll break 100 MPH with twin 350 SCi's ?
The only problem with that outboard is that it doesn't come with the Sport Master lowers.

the boat ran well but was a bit nose happy through the waves from my recollection and i think the weight of the new motors would kill the handling in rough water at high speeds......i personally would rig a y2k with a single I/O as most have been since its such a proven setup unless i was building a CC y2k then it would be O/B but not 300xs motors as they would be overkill....the 250xs motors on a CC would be the limit in my opinion.....i know that theres a ton of setup time in that O/B y2k to make it run as fast as it is now which i think is mid 90s.......i also remember it accelerating like a rocket....
