16' SUPERBOAT Value ?
I just looked at a Mint 16' Superboat with a 50hp Evinrude, and trailer. Has been sitting in a garage in Brooklyn for 15 years untouched. Boat has no vin on the right rear, guy is looking for reg but says he thinks it is a 1985 and he's the orig owner. Guy is in his 70's now.
I offer him $2500 and he took it. Motor turns over by hand, boat is near mint and looks like it is 5 years old. I have to get trailer tires becuase they are so dry rotted.
Was $2500 a good value, I am not sure what these 16's are going for these days?

I know my 1979 24, and my 1980 24' Had no vin on the rear transome, when did John start putting VIN #'s on the rear right transome of his boats.
Becuase this 16' has no vin number on the right rear either.

I sold a 16 superboat closed deck with a 175 merc on it last year for 1800& I bought it for 1500$. the boat really needed a full restoration. if the boat is clean you got a good deal mine was pretty rough cool little boats loved the acceleration with the 175 Chris

Boat is a 1974 16' Superboat no cracks, decent shape for a boat almost 40 years old that spent it's life in Brooklyn. Maybe a nice mid 80's inline tower of power 115 Mercury for her.
Click on the Photos link, the pictures are in there for some reason?
