Default 24' SB Step Hull and Set Back

Hello all-

Been thinking about doing a setback on my 24' SB. It is a stepped hull with a 1999 300 promax (its the pink/teal one on the website). Right now engine is mounted right to the transom.

Was wondering what others guys set ups were. Did a bunch of reading on old threads and thought it might be good to seek opinions again. Was wondering specifically how much set back people were using, what kind of speed gains were they getting, was there any gain/loss in handling, what types of setback/jackplates were people using.

I would do the tie bars if I did the setback, as that seems to be the one constant people stress (or maybe glass knees, arent sure)

Any help/opinons appreciated.

Thanks

Sean
