3.5mpg is quite a feet for a 30' boat.
What was the average speed? I ran out to Block Island this weekend and burned 29gal for 54miles at an average of 42mph. That's double the fuel for a similar size boat. |

I just smile and wait for them to get fueled up.... :evilb: The 425HP/496 is a much more efficient engine than the old 415HP/502. My old 24' Superboat burned about the same as my newer boat with the same engine. Never much more than 2mpg. Those new Suzuki 4 stokes are great. I know a fellow with one that is 9-10 years old and has never had a problem. |
I got a ride in the 30 CC last weekend, my neighbor has one, and that 300 suzuki was an impressive engine. Thing is silent at idle, it had good power , it got the boat moving real well and the owner was really impressed with the gas consumption he was getting
