Aquamarine had the 30 CC at the Tobay boat show today, boat looked great. Weather wound up holding out, no big rain
Tobay was slow overall though, much smaller then usual |

I had decided to go with a small splash well type set up as opposed to a full transom. The transom was cut assuming motors would be mounted directly to the transom.
This required a height increase of about 2-3 inches above were the lowest part of the transom was on the current models built, (assuming a 20'' mid section on the motors). JC also decided not to have a notch in the transom, just flat straight across. So in effect, you have as close to a full transom as you can, but still can mount engines directly to the transom if you want, or jack them back if you want, so best of both worlds I guess The last picture is what the current transom cut out looks like on the current existing model, so imagine it coming up about 3 inches from the bottom part of the notch (that notch is like 6 inches in total) |
Good idea with the higher transom, coens boat sits very low to the water.
