What does any of this crap have to do with the new 30cc being built anyway?

The boat build looks great!
I hope your going sit down seats with all of that power
Pat, I agree with the sitdown seats. But it's Seans choice.

it is coming out great!

Rick- was thinking today, if i went with sit down millenium and buckets, and we did a small rear facing bench seat or leaning post right behind them, might be cool. So kind of like cohens idea for the racing bolsters, but only use the buckets and then a bench behind it, which could also have some storage underneath it. Would give somone a place to sit and fish or just relax. Will give you a shout tomorrow to discuss

Only issue I see with millenium console (standing or sitting) is there inst a ton of room on their for all the gauges and vesselview I plan to do, could get real cluttered real fast

But the other old 70's style consoles i saw arent really in tune with the boat either

Good problems to have!

This is the area on the stringer aft of the battery flooring.

Noli- talked to rick, these are so you can get behind the stringer to mount the trim tabs and run rigging if you wanted

Time for a quick poll.......

Trying to sort out seating, and wanted to get peoples opinions, here are current options:

#1- Go with stand up millenium console and stand up racing bolsters. John has a design in mind were the seat bottom would slide back if you wanted to do a true 'stand up' and it would slide under a rear facing bench he would put behind the bolsters. Would be a real nice set up, and give extra seating ( and a place to sit comfortably if you were fishing). I also prefer standing up when I drive, better sight lines and I can take the big blows in my knees as opposed to my messed up back. Big potential draw back is you are now standing or sitting pretty high on the boat, and the freeboard near the console is decent sized, but if I were standing, it is coming up to only about 6 inches above my knee....ie, a hard turn and you could put someone in the drink pretty quickly. Also not as aero dynamic

Option #2- Sit down millenium console with two forward facing bucket seats and a small rear facing bench or leaning post right behind the buckets- this would get me lower in the boat, and probably a more 'performance friendly' driving set up, and also give me some 'fishing seating' that people could sit on(being the rear facing bench). I dont plan on fishing much, but nice to have the option. A buddy recommended a rear facing seat that had a 'live well' in it for fishing, which could be cool. Big concern for me is taking the big blows sitting down....air shocks anyone ;)

Option #3- Sit down Millenium console with 4 bucket seats, all forward facing (hereafter known as the "Superbabi Plan"). I like this one, would give you four 'performance friendly' seats. At 70+ , the removable back bench along the transom wont have much useability , and a rear facing bench behind the buckets (option #2) wouldnt have much use either. Of course, you lose a decent fishing sitting spot

Option #4- Sit down Millenium console with 4 bucket seats, two forward facing and two rear facing (hereafter known as the "FX-10 Plan"). I like this one as well, would give you four 'performance friendly' seats. But I like that the two back seats would be rear facing, I think it would look good and as my buddy said when I mentioned it to him "cool....husbands facing one way, wives facing the other...works for me ":)

I am leaning towards either option #1 or option #4

If anyone has any thoughts, please feel free to post!

You're going with twin 250s and the boat is going to fly!
I'd want to be sitting in buckets with like 6+" of foam under my butt.
I would also not want to ride backwards so I don't like the rear facing idea at all.
No to 4 buckets either, that will look funny.
I'd go with two buckets and a removable bench back seat facing forward.

I dont think your going to know until the floor is in the boat and you do some trial fits. Narrow boats do rock abit more than something 8+ wide. Especially with the speed numbers your talking. I think they have both setups in stock.

I vote for option 1

it gives you flexibility, function, and would look really nice.

Definitly agree, they are finishing up the one they were buildinf for stock now, so maybe do some fit testing on that one first
