I come & go in the water using the K -Planes for footing... but I am very aware of that prop & would not be comfortable letting young kids do the same.... you can board the Y2K from the back in the water if you are very careful... I just wouldn;t let a young child or someone unfamilar with the boat back there... one slip & its a hospital trip!

I think any kind of rope ladder used in the back would have a tendancy to swing under the platform when weight is applied to it.
Oh, and I got a few real nice plush bath rugs that I use on my hatch. They have the rubber stuff on the backside.

At one of our favorite waterfront restaurants today, boat has run flawlessly all weekend.
