I remember "Centerfold"! Nice white boat with red/orange stripe.

I'm going to put my 2 cents in seeings how nobody from the Superboat stable is going to chime in . triples on a Y2K , Hell No ! John said the one that was built with twin SBC's was a turd that never did ride worth a crap .That's about the same weight as your triple OB's . The Power to weight ratio for triples would not work out for you . If you really want to build an outboard boat and have the correct PtoW Ratio put a pair of mercury racing's new 400's on there . We all know 800hp I/O runs 90-100 . It would be interesting to see what 1050 lbs worth of outboards with 800hp would do . As OCCJoe shows in the pics. They have built a sport deck twin outboard version of the Y2K. Pics of those boats are elusive.

Barely enough room for the plate brackets. Looks like they are shaved down a bit around the o.b. bracket. Cool pic

A pair of those 400's will be more like a minimum of 1400lbs back there...a 20" 300xs with out oil and wingplates weigh 517lbs.

You could probably pull it off with the old 2.5's, but with current 300 xs's...you might be able to squeeze them in, but I doubt it would really work that well

Also, the beam is 7' at the widest point which I think is just forward of the helm. I forgot what it measures at the transom, I don't think it is 7'.
