The Superfest 2003 inaugural committee convened at the Gull in scenic Babylon (OUR Babylon). Tripps, Jcap, OutboardWiz , Zzuperboat and this reporter attended. It was RESOLVED that July 26/27 will be Superfest 2003 weekend. It was also RESOLVED that Superfest 2003 will be open to all boats, as long as Superboat owners are given the proper respect. The meeting was ADJOURNED with many more action items on the agenda, to be RESOLVED at further committee meetings at Long Island watering holes. Heavy swapping of boat stories ensued.

Radar shootout. Right.

Be a SuperFest SuperGuy! Loan us a Radar gun for the weekend. Name of sponsor will be prominently featured. Contact Tripps or ZZuperboat for details.

(If the Radar gun would be donated by law enforcement, it would be a win/win situatrion: We could have a Radar shootout with a (hopefully) calibrated gun, and the gun would be off the streets for the weekend.)

THE RADAR SHOOTOUT WOULD BE A BLAST.BUT THE REALITY OF EVERYONES 90 MPH BOAT GOING 80 WOULD KEEP SOME AWAY.THEY SAY TV ADDS 10 POUNDS AS DOES B/S ADD 10 MPH. I HAD FORGOTTEN THAT THE SPEED LIMIT IN THE BAY IS ONLY 40 SO THAT COULD BE A PROBLEM;UNLESS THE WEATHER IS NICE AND THIS CAN TAKE PLACE IN THE OCEAN.THE NEWJERSY POWERBOAT CLUB HAS A SHOOTOUT,DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW THEY HANDLE IT. SEE YOU AT THE SUPPPERFEST
