Hello, tripps you have a vary good idea. Trailering to Sag Harbor would work the best for you to make a run to Block Island. Sag Harbor is about 45min from the CT river so we could meet just about anywere on the way. Our trip to BI is on Sunday returning Monday. There are two potential dates we are looking at. The Spring House is hosting concerts Aug. 3rd and Aug. 17th, the bands are not confirmed as of yet. We normally dock up at Champlins Marina and get at least one room for SSS. We have not ever been turned away, it would be a Sunday night so they will find room. Have a look at www.blockisland.com/champlins/
I am all set for Superfest.

Well some might think this a little strange. I bought an engine for my boat, Volvo Penta 7.4MPI. Have not sold my Pantera yet, so I had to go with an inexpensive option. Bought it from a mechanic in Virginia with a connection at Volvo Penta. He has some great deals on test engines from the plant. Have a look, I'm sure to take some ribbing for this one.

Congratulations on your new son !!!

Glad you picked up some power.

Now the real question ????
Are you going to be able to outrun that Fountain thats in your family ???

If you need any help installing the motor, I would be happy to lend a wrench.

Well, I could not resist. My Father in-law and I dropped the engine in Saturday afternoon. Only one snag, Volvo front engine mounts and Merc's are vary different. Had to make a mad dash to the local dealer for some Merc. mounts while the engine was hanging. Any way it's in and I will say that the engine is much more accessible in my Superboat than in my Pantera.
To answer your question Bags, I'm not sure but the odds are I will. Gregg is making a few upgrades including Stainless marine exhaust. But his throttle hand does not seem to push as hard as mine. I expect that my Superboat will run between 65 and 70.
Hay Bags, are you coming to Superfest? We already have two boats from Chester, how about a third.

I'm in for the trip to BI also (if I'm around). I live at Shinnecock Bay and can provide escort services for the Mid-Island contingent.

Sounds Great! The more boats the better! We can meet you at Plum gut by Orient point or the other side of little gull island in the race. We'll talk at Superfest.
How is you new boat coming along?
