First and formost, Where is every one launching? meeting up ? what time on sat.? How about some directions . I need some info. As I'm Towing up from Maryland. Is everybody meeting at the launch - ramp?? Let me know so I can make plans on my end.

Hey Gassticks, get a map of LI and I will show you where to go,but for starters, take 95 to the george washington bridge,to cross bronx,go slow,to throgsneck bridge to LI to 495 east dont hit it at friday afternoon at rush hour or you will turn around,I drive a truck sometimes on it at that time and it really sucks. Then take exit 49 or 50 which is route 110 south. you are about 10 minutes from me then and i can help you out to the ramp and other things I plan on being out at 1.00 on saturday so ill be talking to you email me your phone# to [email protected] Tripps

My trusted (but not always up-to-date) C-Map stuff locator has "slipways" (ramps) at:

Fire Island Inlet - Robert Moses Park Boat Basin 0 nm
Sampawams Creek - Degarmo Marine Service 5 nm
Neguntatogue Creek- Anchno Wake Zone 5 nm
Neguntatogue Creek - Surfside 3 Marina 5 nm
Watchogue Creek - Burnett's Marina 5 nm
East Channel Flynn's Marina 5nm

All distances on Robert Moses Boat Basin. Which appears to have its own ramp.

For local knowledge: Tripps.

Traffic: Be very wary about Friday night mayhem, NYC to Long Island - fuhgeddaboutit!

Comms: On Superfest weekend, we"ll be monitoring channel 69 (easy to remember - as in ..) Hail Superfest!

You for got the lindenhurst ramp which sucks the big one cause the overPAID enginerrs that make WAY too much $$$$$$ built the ramp so all the seaweed floats in it to make it misreable cause if they put it about 1000 feet to the east would have been perfect, oops sorry about the rant, but I trailer there And then we have the tanner park ramp in copiaque which is SUPER,like superfest!!!! Captree is very nice, but its over the BIG bridge, and I would not want to trailer over it after a day of SUPERFESTING
