34 Superboat
Does anyone have any information they could share on the 34' Superboat. Its a bad looking boat! How does the boat ride, quality of workmanship and rigging? Also do these boats have allot of free board, I am big on lots of free board, thats why I currently have a Thunder. How do the cabins compare to other boats?
Any input is appreciated. Thanks Chris |
Dear Chris:
I took some measurements for you. FREEBOARD AT TRANSOM hull - 29' hull and deck - 35' COCKPIT DEPTH in front of rear seat - 39" top of windscreen to floor - 54" The last boat we rigged was powered with twin 500 Hp and did 90mph. We have an unpowered new boat in stock on clearance: 2004 34-FOOT SUPERBOAT SPECIAL - All white hull, deluxe cabin, enclosed head, hot water heater and shower, 110 shore power, too many extras to list - Unrigged $76,000 We can rig it with the power of your choice (additional cost) For more details on our 34-footer, please visit our web site at http://www.superboatonline.com |
Thank you John!
I checked out your web-site, you build some really incredible boats!! I am real interested in your 34, I was hoping to find someone who owns one on the board to talk to. I will be in touch Thanks again Chris |
Re: 34 Superboat
anyone....anyone....
Has anyone ridden/driven a 34? I would really like to hear some feed back. Thank you |
Re: 34 Superboat
Don't own one. I assume you are looking I/O. Been in a few O/B models out of water. Finish is excellent. Plenty of freeboard. Wider hull unlike the 24 & 30's. That one is still at SB factory JC had mentioned. I like them.

Re: 34 Superboat
By next season we should also have a center console version. Powered by twin outboards.

What kind of speed would you get out of the 34' with a pair of Merc 6.2's. Looking for a good ocean boats that ok mph wise and is reliable, also good range. It's a great looking boat- I'd be upgrading from a 24' superboat.

Re: 34 Superboat
Austin The 34' Special Is A Big Boat. With The 320's I Would Say Perhaps You Could See In The Lower 70's. The Last One Had 525's And Did 90 Mph. Give Jc A Call.
|
Re: 34 Superboat
I don't think 6.2's would work real well with this boat. Just my opinion.
|
Re: 34 Superboat
Yeah,
I'm not real versed on inboard engines, in the Bahamas almost everybody runs outboards. Someone sujested the 6.2 because it was a small block, verses big block power. Are small blocks more reliable? Efficient? I want a decent size boat to handle gulfstream crossings, but also reliable & not a total gas hog- gas is $4.25 a gallon here. |
Re: 34 Superboat
they've done 34's w/OB's..maybe a couple Verado's would do the trick?!?!..... :D
|
Re: 34 Superboat
What kind of speed do you think you would have with twin verados?? Don't inboard boats ride better, with the engine weight in the boat??

Re: 34 Superboat
Austin Where Are You Located ????
|
Re: 34 Superboat
Go with the standard 496 if thats the case. Much more ecomical then an outboard.Or the 496 HO's for alittle more speed.

Re: 34 Superboat
Bajababi,
I'm in Abaco, on an island called Lubbers- right by Hope Town. |
Re: 34 Superboat
Austin, I have to agree with Rick - my single 496 Mag HO delivers nearly 3 mpg!!!! That's HUGE compared to many go-fasts, and I can stay right beside those same boats in big water doing mid 70's...... gotta love Superboat, I do :)

Re: 34 Superboat
Krak
Do you have a 30'? It so how does she handle the rough stuff, how much better than the 24' that is. My girl doesn't what to cross the gulfsteam in the 24' anymore!! |
Re: 34 Superboat
Huge difference between any 24' and 30' as far as rough water performance.
