Oh Yes We Did Peconic... 4 to 6 footers and lots of white water running back across the Sound.

Had a Great lunch at Claudio's. Like to have you a long for a run to Block this year my friend. Let's see if we can some of those South Bay guys to come east.
If Dave M. comes up, I'm sure we can shame them into it.

Hey tripps,

I think Dave will come up this Summer. He spent time stationed in New London, CT while in the Coast Guard, and wants to run around the LI Sound some I believe.

Probably won't venture out of the CT river until after Memorial Day, but if you guys do something mid June or later...

Had a little scare tarring down my engine. Had a slight head gasket leak into cylinder #7. Started panicking and ordered new pistons, rings and bearings. Worked on it some last night and every thing is looking OK. Maybe just rings and bearings. Need to consult my father-inlaw before I go farther. Good thing I'm replacing the heads though, valves in #7 are burned.

What heads are you going to Pat? If you have everything that far apart, a set of forged pistons might be a good call for a few hundred $$$. Not to mention how happy you'll be once you toss the FI and strap a blower on it!

Hey SS930,
I am using the same 100cc Vortec heads that came stock. Glen bowl ported them and installed good valves and springs. No forged pistons, the engine would need to be rebalanced. Just looking to crack the 70 mark for this year... but down the road.

Hey Pat & tripps & gang...
Sorry, I'm not a "Superboater", but I saw your post.."all are welcome"...I used to run a 24' Condor (almost a Superboat twin)...now I run a 26' Sutphen out of Branford. If you and your crew would like to add another performance boater to your local runs, drop me a line. Thanks!
Chris
