It's nice to have such positive responces from you guys! Hey Cain, that's exactly what I said to.I wanted to sit lower in the boat. I didn't wanna be up outta it. JC was hesitant at first, insisting "it's a stand up boat" . And I'm like WTF, slap a set of buckets in it! All in all it turned out better than I thought. I said to him after it was done that I think once this thing gets out there(on the water and OSO) , I'll bet he gets orders for this type of set up in the future.

Do I see a notched transom? Is that a first for a 24?

The typical 24 SUPERBOAT Outboard JC rigs with a 20" shaft. But, I hate swamping the motor every time you come off plane with other HI-PERF boats. This hull's transom was made taller (not a big deal) for the 25" motor. We also added the 12" Stainless Marine setback, and backed up the inside of the transom with a 3/8 aluminum angle, to stiffen it up. Is that what you mean?

No, I don't mean the engine bracket...
I see a 6"-8" notch in the bottom of the transom.
I have seen this done on larger boats to get the prop into cleaner water.
First time I have seen on a 24 Superboat. Is it an outboard model thing?

I think its all about preference. I feel like I'm in better control while sitting. (I had a little mishap standing, and thats all I'm gonna say about that) How high do the backs come on the buckets? The more I look at them the more I like em...

Your right. I gotta ask JC when he went to this design. I was just checking out a pic I had saved of brother Gassticks O/B. Yeah, it's a built in setback to get the weight back and put the prop in cleaner water.

You reminded me of when I was standing in my 16 SB CC, with bare feet, the boat hooked in ruff water, and I did a split and tore my ball bag!

Oh Dutra, you could go with either buckets like mine, or the Y2K which I think are Highbacks. JC makes the supports himself and will tailor them to your desired sitting height.

How is your stepped hull supported in the rear on the trailer(the last 3')? I have to modify (add 1x3) to bunk. Post pics if you could, or anyone else with stepped hull that trailers. P.S. I'm in the process of sliding the bunk pictured to be even with transom, but in order to get it to sit flat, I need to add the 1x.

Do you have any more picture of the cuddy and the cockpit from different agles. Sorry to bug you I just really like your boat.

I GUESS YOU CANT MOVE THE BOAT FORWARD ON THE TRAILER?OR MOVE THE BUNKS BACK INCHES?REMEMBER YOU NEED SOME TOUNGE WEIGHT TO MAKE TRAIKLERING BETTER TO LITTLE THE BOAT WILL WANDER.

No I can't move the boat forward any. This trailer VB4700(lbs) and the VB5000 (lbs) are really designed for a 21' - 23' boat, 2" ball. Since SUPERBOATS are much lighter for boats of this length( guessing mine is 2000# hull + 500# motor + k-planes, prop & gas etc. =3000lbs), you still gotta go with this trailer, otherwise you go to a 2 -5/16 ball, much too heavy trailer for this combo. Like I said in my original thread, I'm in the process of moving the bunk back, but once I do I need to support the rear step. I seen the trailers (ROCKET) that JC gets for his customers for the Y2K, and they come with carpeted bunks, and the last 4' or so theres a 2x4 lagged and counter sunk to supprt the step.
