04 SUPERBOAT 24 SS !
#71
Hi Bash,
I have only driven one boat with a foot throttle, an old school 20' Taylorcraft jet boat with a big block Olds in it.
The potential problem I see is that you may not be as consistent on the throttle with your foot in the rough...
The bouncing may cause you to slam the gas petal when you may not want to...

Oh Great...now you tell me.
-Aside from having carpel tunnel in my left arm from fighting the steering wheel all last year...I think the design of the IN-CONTROL foot throttle and my modified foot rest placement (on the floor of the boat...not on the petal itself) will eliminate any unwanted bouncing on the petal. Hopefully.
I knew SUPERBOAT GURU PAT would have a reply for BASH!!!

Hey Superbash,
I was hunting through some of your old posts but I can't find the info.
What thickness material did you use when you remade your hatch at the entrance to the cabin?
I was going to use aluminum but I think it's just easier the way you did yours.
Please help.
Thanks,

DPT...ThNX! It is still the last 24 to roll out of SUPERBOAT to date!!! THE only '04. OhZoNeS
24 was a creampuff '01. Recently sold to a L.I.er.
-FX10 is right...two hands (on the wheel
)is better than one!
-PAT...3/4" STARBOARD off the shelf at WestMarine. I still have that other "factory" matching lift hatch if you want to add another like me.

Looks good bash. I'm going to have to post some pics of my custom mods. Not now though, I'm off to test a 28P 4 blade. I'm hoping for a new top speed. I will post results later.
