Before Darin @ Houston prop. labbed my Mirage +, I hated it. It blew out and the boat chine walk when I trimmed real high. Now it runs much better, not faster but better.

4 blader is better in the rough, mid-range,and out of the hole. Tride having it labbed to get more speed, didn't work.
After the third rework it runs strong. Part of that rework was in your Bay....

Thumbs down Re: new to forum

PAT
I am definately chinewalking. I'm afraid that buying a 3 blade it is only gonna get worse. I think the 4 blade is my only savior at this point.

Superbash, at most you will gain 1-2mph and she will run too loose.
If you can barrow one give it a try...
Don't buy, save your money for the gass your going to burn on July 10.
I would say you are running really really well for only 250HP.
I have about 100HP more and have only hit 70 once.
Run her for the year, enjoy!
This off season go for the 300...

Lightbulb Re: new to forum

Pat
I would like to get the 250 fine tuned with the 4 blade & be done for now. Being all stock, she is pretty much bullet proof & the weeds don't affect me at all. The price diff. new between a 300X & 250EFI is great. Now take what I'd get on trade in plus the difference. And then there's the "Which prop should I run Saga" all over again. I'd like to see the 300 boys (oH-zOnE X & non-X FASTXXX) perform. BIG $$ I gotta fork out. It's gotta be a 7-8mph to make it worth it.

-May launch at Shinnecock the 10th. Tripps' idea. Save a lot of effort.

- Just added this. Well... she's on the hoist again!

Nice set up Bash.
Going Up? or Down?
Up and less trim? or Down with more trim?
I'll bring my camera tonight.

Riverhead or Peconic's house may work too.
If you fellows make your trip shorter, maybe I can convince you to spend the night on my side of the pond???

Unhappy Re: new to forum

Went up 3/4"(1 hole). She"ll hit 70.0 with less trim but will hit the limiter until I go bigger prop. May abort & go 300X. Funny thing, Wed. night when I ran the other all white Progression 300X, it was Joey Imp. of E.C.M. testing customers boat out! I just seen him.
***Stepped hulls may be slower than the non-pad non-step! I'm seeing a trend with the bow lift O/B thing among me , oH-zOne & FASTXXX

Unhappy Fastxxx

Call East Coast Marine(JOEY) for a diagnostic check if all else fails(631-422-7997)(re:Gene w/ the new R/W 24SB). You may be right in part, your sportsmaster isn't best for rigs below 80mph. Fleetmaster is better suited for 60's-70's. I asked him about your performance, somethings not right. BASH

Red face Re: new to forum

-Ordered the StainlessMarine 18" $etback. Should be here in few days. If this doesn't give better bowlift , I'm going back to a Hydrostream .
-Oh-zONe , where are you? My 12" with your hydraulic mounted to it is a hot setup.
