Default Superboat Owners, something to be prowed of.

3 others and myself attended the "Jammin On The James" poker run this past weekend. Even tho it's not a race many run balls to the wall as we did. The run went from Hopewell Va to Hampton (80 miles or so) with a 50 mile run to the Eastern Shore. Out of the 75 boats entered maybe 40 decided to cross the bay in to 4 and 5 footers. By the time we got on plane there were 15 or so boats ahead of us, eventually we were running with 2 other boats, a big Cig Tiger and a Top Gun. All 3 boats seem to be running WOT, we pulled away a little and after 10 miles or so there were no other boats to be found. We got to the bar on the other side where people were waiting on the beach. At the end of the day we were the only boat to make the run at an Average speed of 73 mph. we were awarded a $50 gift certificate for our accomplishment.

It's really somthing when your running with boats 10' longer and 3 times the power. I guess I'm tuting my own horn.

Sounds like fun Eddie! I think the same can be said for the '24 Superboat on a smaller scale. Superboats can definitly suprise bigger, more powerful boats.

Whats up ED,

Congrats !!! Hows your handywork holding up ? I'm sure it's fine. Spoke with little John, told me about the race. Hopefully I'll be able to make it. Good Luck.
