Re: New SB Delivery - Data Points!
Hooked the boat up 5:30 in the morning, left NY for R.I. the whole trip kept feel the truck lerching, thought there was something wrong with the truck,, pick up wife in R.I. head home back to NY,, wife keeps asking why the truck is learching,,, I say there is something wrong w/ the truck, pull into a truck stop and check everything over,, no problems, but notice the nut is backed off the draw bar by about 1/4 inch,, the learching was the ball flopping around in the draw bar,, lasted about 5 hours like that and had only backed off 1/4 inch,, to loose the whole nut is amazing.. glad to hear you made out o.k.

Thanks Rick! I'll get right on that ticket......
Thanks all! Yeah, at least all ended up well - the damage to the trailer is all bolt-on repairable, and the gel work is cosmetic. It was a scary time but I have to say good engineering and build quality was the ticket!
Chris288, Pat - go find a welder!!! Wow!
Fortunate for me I won't trailer much - the boat is in dry stack so she's only a phone call away from being splashed.......think I call them now and swing by on the way home........ outta here!

It's a good thing we tightened that nut before we left your parents house. Wouldn't want to repeat the process.
No wonder the rig got shaky when we passed Bethel!
