There will be something out there soon enough...

What would happen if you got hold of a whipple ecu for a 502?? would it make 750 HP ???

Rick, how you doiing ???? As I understand if you put the whipple on the 502 with full boost she should make 750-800 hp. If all goes well the rest of this year ( $$$$ ) there may be a new project for next year. !!!!!!

Be easy on the hp (750) with a stock gm 502.

As I understand the Power Upgrades from Whipple charging Merc 502cube engines with 5-6lbs of boost...

415HP/502Mag + Whipple = 650HP
500HP/502EFI + Whipple = 700+HP
525HP/502EFI + Whipple = 750HP

Now these start out life as 8.7:1 compression base engines.

The Merc 600SCI starts out with dished pistons and 7.5:1 compression.
I would guess the boost would have to be increased to 8-9lbs for the base 600SCI engine to make 700+HP.

We have our whip hp500 making 750... tops with 7lbs boost. Thats about right for a 600sci...
