Thumbs up John Jr's (X) Y2K got Whippled !!!

Hey et, I bet your dying to bring the boat down to warmer weather to give it a run. John Jr. called me Sat night and told me that you already had the whippled installed. I can't wait to hear how it goes. It was sad seeing it drive away.

Rick

I wonder if anyone will ever try an arneson drive on a Y2K. Now that would be interesting !!

I really like the Arneson, but I'm afraid someone will jump off the back of the boat right onto the prop. They make a new prop guard, but the drive is still hanging way out there.

FX:
My thoughts exactly! I was talking to John about a 525 with a Arneson. as I stated on an earlier post thats my dream setup but John seemed reluctant to go in that direction, too many unknowns. In talking with Arneson they said the notch would need to come out of the transom. Im also wondering if the arneson will provide appropriate bow lift. Arneson recomends their trim tabs and mounting them flush with the bottom to help create a rocker effect. Whats your thoughts? I had a donzi 22 blackhawk edition and miss being able to hose people down with the rooster tail Should we try and twist Johns arm?
