JC has a 34' hull , so your idea is not all that far fetched...
Make a new deck Y2K style, add an integrated swim platform, and you've got your 36' Y2K...
I think the 7' beam is too narrow for anything larger than the 30'.

I was talking with John Jr. last week about a Y2k with staggered 525's. Move the gas tank forward, and use some of the cockpit for the other engine. The race model has a covered cockpit anyway. It would be BEYOND animal !!!

Cigarrett has their 45'Maximus, which is only 8'wide. The Y2k is 7'4" . It could be done. It would be an awesome boat in the rough stuff at 36'.

Now were talkin....I'll just have to sell my soul...

What would be better, staggered twins or a single 1000HP hooked to a # VI dry sump?

single would be sweet (less $$$) BUT staggered would ROCK !!
