I was just running some numbers from a formula I found in TQ&A.
If Krak's boat runs 72-74mph with 425HP, his boat would hit 85-87mph with 600HP.
With Rick's treatment of your Babi's bottom, 90mph may not be too far fetched... :drink:

With 1200HP she might hit 120... :eek:

In theory, it would take about 680HP to crack the 90mph mark in Keith's boat.
Jcap said that his engine makes around 700HP, and does push his boat 91+.
Babi is going to run close to 90... :drink:

Buy the way, I ran some numbers for my boat too.
415HP should have me at 75mph. Exactly the number a fellow with a 502 in his 24' Super told me...
Now will my engine make more than a stock 502?

The faster you go the more HP per you will need. The formula is not linear...
If you want to go 100mph, and your boat goes 72 with 425HP, how much HP do you need? (100/72)^2 X 425 = 820

Gary, it is tough to say without testing your boat.
Keith has provided us with real numbers to play with...
72mph with 425HP, so with 750HP, maybe 96mph???

Bad News/ Good News, There Will Be A Delay With Superbabi / 600 Sci. It Appears That Entire Guage Package Has To Be Backed With New Smartcraft System. Analog Will Not Work With New System As It Does With 496 & 525 Hp. Merc. Tech Will Be In Superboat To Dial In All Aspects Of The New 6oo's Working System. Also At Start Up For Prop Selection. As I Said Bad News..........but In The End Great News !!!!

From what John told me. SmartCraft makes individual guages that will go into every guage opening on the dash. Thank god !!! In my opinion, I think the Merc Racing Rep is coming down out of curiousity. He wants to see how fast a 600 will go in a 30' boat. I think he's going to be in for a surprise ;)

I'll see if Brian is still involved. I hav'nt seen him since 01. I would love to see a F1 class shootout! Superboat, Lavey craft, Warlock, Howard, Extreem, Activator. Of course you would never get the MFG's to put the same motor in all of them for a head to head comparo. But I'd still like to see it.
