Mercury doesnt show the ITS as an option for the 600 in their literature that I have read. Baja, you still consideriong an imco extension box? I'd love to do the 600, just gotta put the brakes on $pending, I'm already over budget...

Pat, I Hope With 600 And Blueprinted Hull With An Fx-10 Special Rocker, She Will Hit 90 Mph. We Will All See !!!! Steering....twin Ram Race Steering...same As John's Race Boat............motor Is A 525/502 Merc Big Block, With A Factory Installed Whipple/lysholm Supercharger Making 750 Hp, Than Electronically ( Pcm ) De-tuned To 600 Safe Hp With Low Boost. This Set Up Will Enable A 600 Hp At A Later Date To Change Pcm And Supercharger Pully To Make 750 Hp.... All Very Interesting, And Very $$$$$$$$$$$$$. I Hope It All Works Out... You Guys Will Be The First To Know !!!!!

How much more did they get for the 600 over the 525? They do offer ITS with the 600. By the time you delete your external hydraulic steering it is not that much more.

No Its For 600.. I Believe There Is A 17,500k Difference Between 525 & 600. That Price Of 17500 Is List Price, Not Selling Price...

You might want to double check on the ITS, it is available with the 600.

The ITS will be much cleaner than an extension box with separate steering.

Cmc, Up Grade To 525 From 496 Ho Was Like 17k, But Includes Up Grade To Xr Drive From Bravo 1 Drive.

Bajababi, I sent you a private message. I have to say I agree with some of the others, ITS would be sweet. I've priced it and by the time I delete the external hydraulic steering it was surprisingly affordable.

Almost every 600 at the Miami show had ITS with it. Even at the Merc booth, the 600 was shown with ITS and sportmasters.

If you go sportmasters talk to the factory or dealer to see if they will polish them. I asked the Cig guy what it took. He says he can do 2 drives in 4 hours.

The only time I have seen someone lose speed with sportmasters is when they retrofit a bravo and can't get the X dimension right. Cig is putting them on all their new 525s and 600s. They aren't doing that because they are slower.

There were tons of boats at Miami with ITS. I think most folks like the way it cleans up the back of the transom with the integrated steering. I sure like it, especially in a staggered implementation. :D :D

OK TO LATE FOR MERC. ITS. TRANSOM WOULD HAVE TO BE RE GLASSED..........NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. HOWEVER WE CAN USE WHAT TOM IS USING. THE 12" STELLING SET BACK WITH THE HD EXTERNAL STEERING I HAVE ALREADY. ALL IT TAKES IS $$$$$$$$$$. LETS SEE ????? :evilb: :evilb: :evilb:

How about a 1200HP Sterling and a dry sump VI drive.
You need Spring to come before you don't have any more $$ to put gas in Babi... :eek:

Go with the stellings and then you can put my dyno unit on it and see exactally how much HP and TQ those 600sci motors are really putting out. With the stellings you can use the IMCO steering ears on the side and rams and route the steering hoses into the side of the box for a 'clean' install.
