Two starting points on Saturday:
North Shore port to be determined by Grand Wizard Tripps.
And on our side of the pond at the I-95/CT River boat launch.
We plan to meet somewhere in the LI Sound then travel up the CT river for a "Raft Up"... :drink:

Hey Chris, what do you think about the Blue Oar in Haddam as a stop over? BYOB and great grill food! :evilb:

Saturday night partying here in CT for whom ever stays over...
Sunday we do it all over again with a Lunch time stop at Claudio's in Greenport... :drink:

Claudio's will have a band from around 2pm to 6pm... :cool:

I am sure not everyone will be able to do both days, but I do know that Tripps, Chris, and I will... :evilb:

Count me in for now - still checking. I would be around LI on Friday (see Rick, JC), perhaps boat across with the others on Sat, then join at Caludios on Sunday. It's all or none for me, and I won't know 100% until mid May.

I intend to be there.......thanks you guys for doing the leg work and prep!

As far as me, If per chance my boat is ready, Im gonna take that week off and launch out of Sag Harbor and boat up the CT river Sat. and boat to Claudios on Sun with a bunch oof break-in boating in between. If no boat, I'm not going to take the week off, and have to work Sat. For Sunday Im leaving up in the air till we get closer to the date.

Pat just an up date, I have not forgot about SUPERFEST 3 at all. We are looking at a few different ways to get SUPERBABI THERE. My self and Rick are working a couple ideas out. WE JUST MAY PULL IT OFF !!!!!

should we be switching this thing to LI?....it'll be easier for krak...if he's going to the superboat hq. as for the rest of us from CT....it's a short 9 miles across the gut....should we do a montaulk, lap around gardiners bay..thing? find me a marina with a shuttle/ "free" punt, and i'll crash anywhere...

Hey guys,,

I think this run will be fun. I have a place in Shelter Island so I would love to meet up with anyone who would be running up to the river by water.. Was considering going up to Lake Champlain for GLH's Milk Run but it is a long haul to make if something is happening closer.

Our original plan is to do both CT and LI.
Hell, I plan to touch both shores Saturday and Sunday... :D
Like you said Chris, it's only 9-10miles across.

OK, bad news on my part - I'm still out of work and the trip costs will be $1000-2000 for me, so it looks like I'll be canceling. :( Just can't swing it now.

I'll be getting the DVD ready in the next week or two, and will send copies up there to a volunteer (Pat? Rick? Bash?). Once we get the head count I'll make the copies and send them on.

Believe me, no one is more bummed than me to miss this - looks like I'll be watching from the Gulf Coast though, unless that lotto thing works out ;). Sorry guys!

You are right about that Sean. The Shelter Island marine patrol loves me. Good thing he is a friend of mine and does not hassle me. I was out in SI on Tues putting my old man's Stratos in the water. You might have seen me come flying in to Dering HArbor. I love it when there are no Blow Boats in the morhing field this time of year. If you get some free time this summer stop over to the dock any time and say hello. Our dock is in the SW corner near Second Bridge. You will not miss the green Stratos CC sitting at the dock.

Will you be able to make the trip up to Conn. for Superfest? I believe I most likely will be out there that weekend. So I plan on running up the river for the day. And then meeting everyone at Claudio's on Sun.

Peconic and I made it from tripps and zup houses to Claudio's in 2 hours flat...
How's that for a challenge... :cool:
We did take the inside route that includes two canals.
If you run outside in the ocean you can cut out 1 canal and about 30min.
Good luck and watch out for those Great South Bay sand bars... :eek:
