i really like the look of that 20 footer. are the volvo 280 sterndrives actually "bullet proof" on that application?

thats the one that really caught my attention.
400hp sbc is just right...
i think the 280s are great drives... not sure about parts around.
but for the 8000 range... looks like a decent deal.

That 20 is a great boat...from a solid family (both company and owner) of people that know performance boats...from what i know, never abused, well maintained...

I had a Volvo 290 on my 18" Gran Sport for about 20 years. Absolutely bulletproof, and shifted like butter. Hard to find good props, though. Had to have one customer built by Hill Props in CA. That 26' looks great in butt white...

Christian... you got anymore pics of it?
I just know, that eventhough its only 20ft and $9k, it'd be just as much maint as my old 24... and that's where the $ comes in.

My father had a 20' Cigarette with a 400 hp SBC and a 280 Volvo, he blew the upper gear case. That was 30 years ago too.
