Does anyone know of or heard anything about an 18ft Sutphen jet made in the 70s?

I see them on the web from time to time. That's just a pic I found. I don't know anything about that one.

Here's an 18 jet...Looks like these boys were having some fun without even being in the water. Bet nobody here has ever done that...

You can search on "Gran Sport" for a lot of info on my old 18' boat.

Is that your old boat "depth charge"? What kind of speeds, handling etc?

Not mine. Jet boats take LOT's of power to break 60mph. I'd estimate 450hp in the relatively deep Gran Sport...Good luck. D911

Yeah, that sounds right.... My 20' Jet (Taylor LP mold) 454 with some HO mods + lightning headers. -probably 425-450hp. Big for a jetboat, but still very light. Probably no where near as deep as the Sutphen, but she'll run 65 everyday with a best of 67.3 or so on GPS.
