Scarab412
You need a name change.
I spoke to the factory a year or so ago about my 26 and they had my call Don Carter Sr. at Offshore Performance(I think) in Ft.Myers. He has lots of experience with these boats and knows their handling characteristics. The number is 941 489-0884. Keep us posted.

I had a 26 with a pair of 94' 2.5 EFI Offshore clamp ons. Had them on a 22" bracket with about 20" center lines. Boat ran around 87 and was a blast! Once up over 75 or so they like to start walking when you get a lot of lift going on and the boat gets up. I basically ran on the last 7-10" of the keel on smooth water. Great boat.

I think we've got a tie! Mine's a 1972 Sutphen Gran Sport and I'm only the second owner (18 years).

Hey fobes!!! Where ya been? I love seeing all these new names and boats...that rocks. Finally, some people with taste!(ha ha ha ) I used to think my 83 was old, but a 72 obviously takes the cake. What are those 406s making for punch Anthony? Our mutual friend sutphen30 knows of a 26 that does 93-97mph...I have heard that our boats like to be nosey. Mayhap that might be keeping you down??? Sutphen30s boat needed spacers in his TRS drives to make 87mph, the drives actually sit abit high!!! Anyway, she sounds like a beast...good luck selling her.

Here's a 1990 17' that I saw on another site. Very clean looking little machine.
