c

30ctsutphen 10-10-2008 05:02 PM

Wasnt gonna go on Sat. Had friday and sunday on the schedule but didnt make it today.
Got real busy today and couldnt make it.
My brother went to claudios though in the fountain.

Going out on the river sunday.
probably putting in at portland since the boat is at my place in simsbury right now.

v21 10-10-2008 06:01 PM

Yes we are going boating again .
Just an informal cruise on the river .
Oct 19 , no rain date .
It's a Sunday this year to accommodate the RHF&GC . (they own some of the beach)
We are saying launch where you want and we will gather at the beach just north of the Rocky Hill launch/ferry for pizza .
Most of the smaller boats might launch at Haddam like always .
Old Saybrook , Salmon River , Rocky Hill , and Wethersfield Cove are better choices for the larger boats .

More info here http://forums.screamandfly.com/forum...d.php?t=169049

If you want to be included for pizza please let me know how many in your party by Oct 17 .

Contact me by PM thru www.ScreamandFly.com , email me at [email protected] or phone 860-214-1667 (voice mail says Northern Lights)
Rich Owen

PLEASE BRING AND WEAR YOUR VESTS

C my brother said he saw a I/O sutphen 26 in OS.
assuming that was yours.

Brett(sew fast) and I got together up in portland and ran down to goodspeed and back.
Had a good run too.
Got the boat working really well its whole lot different with the out boards but now that I know how to trim it out its running much faster.

Too bad you didnt let us know we could have met up with you.
where was all the caos, at the ramp?

I will be out both sat and sunday next week if anyone wants to get together sat.

ChristianGott 10-13-2008 06:10 AM

j..
didn't want to waste your time...it was sam's first "real" time out on the water and i wasn't sure how the little guy would do, so we stayed close to the ramp, just in case..
glad your running quicker, brett's boat looked good..
saw your brother under the bridge as we were heading in..

c

30ctsutphen 10-13-2008 04:42 PM

I know what you mean my 2 year old daughter has been on boats since she was about 6 months old and its hit or miss.
On the way over to claudios she will be screamming she wants me to stop or go slow and on the way back she is screaming fast faster so you never know.

We would have accomodated whatever the situation was anyway.
Brett and I Idled a bunch and shot the **** so it wouldnt have been all that different.LOL

Hey Guys:

Morgan and I are going to make it on Sunday. What time is everyone getting together and where?

We had a helicopter photo shoot last Wednesday of the 21SS and are working on something for the SSX. We're just waiting for Rich Jr. to dial it in. We're putting things together for a new website and nicer brochures. All gearing up for Miami. Our good friend Billy Frenz posted our banner at the Glen Cove Run. We are starting to get more and more exposure and thank all of you for your assistance and words.

See you on Sunday.

Ron

Isn't that boat just beautiful!!

OL40SVX 10-14-2008 10:26 AM

I cant wait to see her run Ron!!! I think were trying to be at the Saybrook ramp around 10ish. If your launching up in in the meadows im not sure when people are getting there.

Hey Ron, is the girl in the pic coming too?:evilb:
The boat looks real nice; can't wait to see it in person.

I will be riding with my bud Gregg in his 29' Fountain with the backup plan being my Velocity.
We'll be launching in Chester around 10am.
Hay's Haven in Chester has a real nice ramp if anyone is looking for another spot to launch.

See you all on Sunday...:ernaehrung004:

Here is Morgan airing out the new 21 on Lake George on Sunday. The thing sounded like a small jet with the Gibson mufflers on.

Brett I had just as good of a time putting and shooting the shi& as I did trimming it out.
It was a great day.
hopefully sunday will be just as good if not better.

30ctsutphen 10-14-2008 08:56 PM

Ron where are you launchin the 21's ?

I am not sure where to launch would be cool to all run up from OS but its like 40 miles.

Id like to hang out and watch some of the festivities too rather than just running wide open all day.

Just thinkin outloud, what are you guys thoughts?

I think most of the Sutphen's are going to launch in Old Saybrook, nice ride up the river, we like pulling into the beach and looking at all the "hot rods". Having pizza, run to Hartford, run back home.....
Looks like your boat is running good!!!!

Hey Dan and Ken,
We'll be on the water shortly after 10am in Chester.
I'd imagine you'll be coming through around 10:30 so we'll be looking for you.
See you Sunday.

What he said...

If you don't want to launch in Old Saybrook, you can launch with us in Chester if you like.

Full Throttle 525 10-15-2008 10:54 AM

Morgan and I aren't sure as to when we will get there. We have to take the 21 to Sebago Lake Maine on Saturday and will either be back in Connecticut late Saturday night or sometime Sunday morning. Dan..I have your cell so I'll call you on Sunday to check where everyone is at that time.

Ron

Full Throttle 525 10-15-2008 10:55 AM

Exit 6 off Route 9.
I keep my boat at Castle Marina, Rail Road Ave, Chester. Castle has a ramp and right next door is Hay's Haven and they have a real nice ramp.
If you'd like to leave the boat at my house Saturday night you are welcome to. I'm exit 3 off route 9; 10 min from the Old Saybook ramp or marinas in Chester.

sewfast 10-15-2008 08:25 PM

Sweet video but I would add the word sutphen so it comes up with a search.
I searched it to see if it popped up and It didnt.

We all need to get some video of all eachothers boats on sunday and edit it into one great youtube (sutphen) video.

Anyone have the know howfor editing?

everyone have digital video cameras to bring?

Another guy on Lake George took the video and posted it on YouTube. I just "stole" it from another thread.

See you guys on Sunday in a black/blue Progression w/300XS.

Hey Sutphen guys,

I'll be in Old Saybrook Sunday morning around 10:00. I'm looking forward to running the river and meeting all of you. Can't wait to get some more seat time in our new 21SS.

If anyone wants to take a ride and check out the new 21SS, Sunday on the river will be a great opportunity to do so. Give me a call.

Hi Morgan,
I've been looking at some pics of an older 20' that I almost bought a few years back vs. the new 21'. The new boat has some nice upgrades for sure!
Fill that tank to the brim brother, you are going to have lots of takers on that ride offer. Not to mention the 100miles from Old Saybrook to Hartford and back...:drink:
See you Sunday...
