looking at a 30 pacer
#1
I am going to look at a ocean pacer next week, the owner stripped it took k planes trs off, so its a hull with cockpit. I have been looking for a single 27 to 30 ft hull to put my konrad and dean gellner blower motor in. so this boat would have to have the stringers moved, transom redone from scratch, or fill and recut which my not be safe to do, I got a price of 5 grand to do the work. whats this hull worth with a trailer? I was thinking 8 to 9 grand, but the guy is looking for 13500. I think is high for a 82 stripped hull. I am looking at a 28 manta two which is complete for 7 grand more. plus there is a red 30 in mass which was up for sale for 11,000 with drives ,I am trying to find out were its at. I did want to buy a new hull but I am not sure how work will be this year, cause I am getting off comp this week. a friend who has a newer sutphen said I am crazy to but 1100 hp in a 82 hull and its not worth much with all goods taken off. so I may just keep looking, put my baja back together for the rest of the summer. so any ideas on if its worth re working a old hull or just wait till the winter and see if a better deal shows up. I am passing on a cig 27 I could get for 4500 with trailer stripped he wanted 11000. there is a 33 or 34 for sale for 10,000 and a hustler 32 92 for 10,000 but I would have to go twins and want to stay single. so any ideas is it worth the time and money to do this project thanks for any input.

how can find him who has the phone#, I got two bravo drives, one gimbal, steering and konrad ace set up, 670hp motor and a 1000 plus blower motor not on the dyno yet so hp could be 1100 plus. I like the spirit better than a pacer, anyone have a way to contact him thanks.

I dont know if I would make a twin engine 30/31 Sutphen a single since none were ever built that way except the two newer 32's. Most likely a waste of time and money, but just my opinion. Ernie sounds like he's knows what he's talking about. If its a twin like that nicer 31 keep it a twin, rig it up and go boating.

you now me haha, that a 30 weights was 5800 with twins so a single will be 4600 to 4800. the new ones have there stringers set up for a single I know but if we were to have the middle cut down to say 3'' and add two new ones in and tie them together with a spider web like old banana boats were down I think it would be perfect. I have the dean gellner motor getting ready for dyno which depends on what gas I use power will be about 1050 to 1100hp on street gas. I also bought a konrad ace package so I have a ton of money in a single set up. if I new chris was going to drop the price on his 05 last fall to half of what he was looking for I would of bought his boat instead of the blower motor and konrad
that package is worth the same as his boat. and since I am just getting back to work this fall I can't get a loan or want one.

but getting back to the 30s I think it would be fine and scream with that set up.lighter better drive plus I could sell the motors and trs drives or put one in my baja and sell it cheap, I WON'T SELL IT WITH THE 509 670HP MOTOR cause the boat would only bring 14000 or under I may strip it and sell it with trailer for 3 or 4 grand. now what do you think and hows the cat
