New addition to the family

Well here's the new addition to the Sutphen family. Its a 1987 single outboard 26. Its been sitting inside a heated/air conditioned building in Maine for the past 20 years! Its one of the few single outboards built I hear. It was originally sold by Jim Goodrich of Offshore Speed and Ski to a person in CT. Its powered by a V8 Johnson. The boat is in amazing shape! We look forward to running a 26 again!

Dan

Dan:
Nice ride. I was talking with Jim up in Maine about that boat. Thought if it was everything he said it was, it would be a great deal and it appears that it was. Best of luck with it.

wow, very nice

floatingphil 04-26-2010 08:24 AM

That hull looks to be in terrific shape. The package must be the lightest 26 in existance.

I cant wait to get down to OS and see it.

Its like going back in a time machine and riding in a off the lot sutphen RR

There is an Insane amount of room in that boat isnt there?

for a smallish 26 Ft boat theres tons of party room with the outboards

ChristianGott 04-26-2010 07:54 PM

how many does that make in CT now?

I know of nopper, miller time, letter rip, outrageous, sutphen 30, shaun's 33, spoil me, there's three other 38/39's, Wades old 30 race, the single 31(not Ernie's) and some other's I believe. I think we may have them beat in CT though!:D

fobes 04-28-2010 03:47 AM

Which one is "Miller Time"?
There was a nice 38' triple running out of Marina Bay (MA) not sure if it is still there though.

The 39/40 that was used in the brochure for Offshore Speed and Ski in early 2000's. Its a side by side bravo boat with the lightning bolt down the side.

HIGH LIFE 04-28-2010 06:35 PM

fobes, the 38' @ Marina Bay was owned be Bill O'Connell who developed Marina Bay. After Bill sold it set in front of Hewitts Cove Marina in Hingham. "HIGH LIFE"

fobes 04-29-2010 04:05 AM

HIGH LIFE:
Every now and then Bill would come by our yacht club in Winthrop for a few. He let us check out the Sutphen. I always liked that boat with the big "Oh $hit" bar across the back of the front bolsters. Bill and his friend were always gentlemen.
Where is the boat now?
Matt

olmako20 05-12-2010 06:11 PM

Have you run it with the 300. I'm curious of what numbers it has with one of those v8 OB. Do you plan on repowering? A pair of 2.5s would look good on the back of that.

30ctsutphen 05-12-2010 07:28 PM

Yeah a pair of 2.5s does look good.LOL
Just kidding
I like the fact that its all original.

OL40SVX 06-15-2010 08:09 PM

The boat is for sale guys!! We are asking 12K. Come and get it!

30ctsutphen 06-15-2010 10:52 PM

thats a very good little boat for somone.

I can tell you I loved my little 26 rum runner and it had a ton of room in it. No real winterization needed for the outboard except a quick Fogging.

Its even on a nice trailer.

Especially snce you can get 300X's pretty cheap now.

olmako20 06-16-2010 07:44 AM

Why are you guys selling so soon? The summer is just getting going.

olmako20 06-16-2010 06:39 PM

I'm sure you got something good up your sleeve. If I didn't have my rumrunner I would definatly pick that one up.

You guys going to be running this weekend?
