Default 20ft Resto.

Hey guys, Recently picked up a 20footer. Needs help. It was an I/O that someone threw a OB bracket on it. The transom is rotted along with the stringers. Oh yea and the Deck. So i decided to make it my Fall/winter project. Took the bracket off monday morning to find the old Drive hole. So instead of crawling around i ripped the deck off. Which only took about 15 minutes. Its missing its windshield along with the engine hatch. Am i out of my mind for restoring this???

Here's the thing
when your done you know exactly what you've got
a nice solid hull!

Sure you could probably buy a fairly nice one for 10k easy enough but it's still somewhat of an unknown

Hey, you could always ship it to Rich Jr. in NJ and have him re-do the whole thing!

Actually, that raises a question. I thought the decks on Sutphens were glassed to their hulls. Is that not so?

Im not too sure. This one looks like the decks been off before, for some patch work. So it wasnt glassed. However we also own a 30' so ill have to check that one out as well. Thats the only reason im doing this boat over. To have sorta like a mini me.

It will be great if you duplicate this boat to look like your fathers. "HIGH LIFE"
