OH this is nice. is the boat being sold through the business?

lucky strike 02-15-2011 10:25 PM

Are you looking to buy a boat?

dba900 02-16-2011 08:18 AM

What motors does it have in it and how fast is it as currently set up? Good luck with the sale; it's a beautiful boat!

lucky strike 02-16-2011 10:46 AM

It has 454's
It's set up for the rules for P-5 in 2004 when it won the championship in SBI.
The break out speed was 70 mph
The boat runs about 73 wide open with the set up it has.
I've used it as a pleasure boat for the last 5 years.
When we had the 550 B&G motors it ran 93/94.

Thanks for the compliments, It's a very cool boat.

I would, but its a bit more than i planned on spending. I know my credit union always would rather finince something if im buying from a business not personl.

lucky strike 02-16-2011 11:16 AM

The boat is in the name of Mercedeshowroom which is my car dealership in Florida.

30ctsutphen 02-17-2011 10:24 PM

How can you beat that price on that boat.

If someone is looking to get into this type of boat and doesnt buy at that price something is wrong.

Even if you needed a pleasure interior you could have it done for a few grand and still have a great price on a killer boat.

This is correct. All you'd have to do is pull out the 3 man bolster and put in two buckets or something similiar.

It's a very cool boat. Someone will be getting something special with a lot of history.

I posted it in the Ne thread Scot is looking for a new larger boat than his 26 cat with Ob's.

I am sure they will be reading this too. HAHA hahah

No

I also have 3 drop down seats for the 3 man bolster that came with the boat when it was new for those who choose to sit.

No, that price doesn't include a trailer.

I have never advertised the boat with a trailer.

Are you interested in buying the boat?

dba900 02-23-2011 09:41 AM

Not at the moment; just asking to clarify. Good luck with the sale.

AS a Sutphen owner, why do you want to sell such a beautiful boat? I love mine, the only thing I would sell mine for would be a 39 or 40 Sutphen!

We've had the boat 5 years, it's time to move on and let someone else enjoy it.

I agree Shaun , I looked at allot of other boats after I sold my 26, I really wanted to give eveything a look and see what else was out there. I try not to just put the blinders on.

after really looking around at fit and finish, quality of construction (strength), cost, and usefulness of the cockpit, cabin etc etc

I came back to SUTPHEN as my only choice.
